Integrative Materials Research Institute
Research to enhance academic capabilities in related fields is actively conducted through organic convergence research between various multidisciplinary fields including engineering, physics, chemistry, biotechnology, basic medicine, clinical medicine and original research by actively replacing according to rapidly changing research conditions. The Integrative Materials Research Institute leads pioneering multidisciplinary convergence research in related fields such as information and communication technology (IT), biotechnology (BT), and nanotechnology (NT). It plans and designs various materials, devices, and production processes in the nano-biomedical field, and promotes industry-academia collaborative research by discovering new industrial application areas. The institute also establishes cooperative systems with companies in the nano-semiconductor sector and conducts research on core technologies for the future convergence medical device industry based on BT-NT-IT convergence technologies. Furthermore, by carrying out national and policy research projects, it contributes to enhancing academic capabilities through the improvement of policy areas related to convergence technologies.
