College of Business

Training Talents with Interdisciplinary Competence and Specialized Knowledge
Knowledge and information is emphasized as the core abilities for economic and social development in the 21st century, and the era is changing as globalization and localization are being combined. Training talents with an accurate understanding on economic phenomena and specialized knowledge on corporate management and finance is essential for Korea to compete with leading countries within these changes.
The College of Business Administration has expanded and reorganized major departments including the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Finance, which were within the College of Social Sciences, in March 2004 with the goal of training talents. These departments are creating positive synergies in both education and research, grounded in their close academic interconnection within the framework of the College of Business. As a result, efforts such as the development of curricula that balance theory and practical application, the promotion of double majors among students, and active interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty members are being actively pursued.
The educational objective of the College of Business is to cultivate the skills necessary for students to make rational and efficient decisions in business activities, and provide education in theory and knowledge for them to grow and develop into professional businessmen or finance professionals based on these talents.
